Softech & Associates is ready to assist customers that will need to migrate from IBM FileNet Report Manager due to IBM's announcement that product will be withdrawn from support. IBM announced on September 14, 2010 that FileNet Report Manager will be withdrawn from support effective September 30, 2011. This IBM announcement can be found here.
Customers can select from two options: IBM FileNet Content Manager (CM) and IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD). Report data can be migrated to FileNet Content Manager if report management capability is not required. Softech's tools can capture the reports, convert them to PDF documents and store them on the FileNet CM system.
CMOD is IBM's mainstream report management product which is designed to process high volumes of print output. CMOD offers more report management and day forward report capture capabilities than FileNet COLD and FileNet Report Manager. Mapping FileNet Report Manager report formats and templates to CMOD report templates require knowledge of both products.
Softech's RM2CMOD tool and processes have been successfully used and deployed on customer projects for both backfile conversion and day forward report capture solutions.
Softech personnel have extensive knowledge and experience in successfully migrating from FileNet COLD and FileNet Report Manager to FileNet Content Manager and Content Manager OnDemand. Customers can take advantage of Softech's high performance migration tools and perform the migration in-house or partner with Softech.
